IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lewis Montgomery
Lim
April 16, 2024 – April 24, 2024
Lewis Montgomery Lim was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on April 16th, 2024, and passed into glory at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia on April 24th, 2024. He is survived by his parents, James and Dana Lim, his siblings, Miles and Zoey Lim, and his grandparents, Craig Thompson, Lynne Thompson, and Cesar Lim. Lewis is now in company with his deceased Lola (Pilar Lim).
Lewis was 9 pounds 15 ounces and came into this world living up to the meaning of his name – a warrior. Amid the battle for his life, he gifted us with a joyous smile and lived with more tenacity and spirit than many can in a lifetime. The parents would like to express their gratitude to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit teams at Women's and Babies Hospital in Lancaster and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for their love, care, and support for baby Lewis.
Lewis was given his name after the influence of C.S. Lewis's books in his parents' lives. His middle name, Montgomery, was an homage to Dr. James Montgomery Boice, a pastor whose teachings were pivotal to both the lives of Lewis's Lola and his father.
In The Last Battle, C.S. Lewis illustrates what Lewis has and what all God's children inherit:
"And for us this is the end of all the stories, and we can most truly say that they all lived happily ever after. But for them it was only the beginning of the real story. All their life in this world and all their adventures in Narnia had only been the cover and the title page: now at last they were beginning Chapter One of the Great Story which no one on earth has read: which goes on forever: in which every chapter is better than the one before."
Lewis's funeral will be on Wednesday, May 1st. A private family viewing will be from 1–2pm at Charles Snyder Funeral Home (3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543) followed by a 3pm graveside service at Westminster Presbyterian Church (2151 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601).
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Friends of Angels .
