IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Letha
Wright
November 20, 2024
Letha Wright, 80, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family. Born in St. Paul, NC, she was the cherished daughter of the late James and Sadie Mae McGeachey and the youngest of nine siblings.
A woman of intelligence and grace, Letha was a pillar of her community. She owned and operated several restaurants, earning a reputation for her hard work ethic. She was also an inspector at AMP where she retired after dedicating many years to them.
Letha's faith in God guided her life and was seen in her daily actions. She was an active member of the Queen of Sheba Temple for sometime and her faith continued after her departure from them.
Most important to Letha was her family. She loved traveling with her loved ones and was known for her impeccable style, always sharply dressed and fashionable. Her visits to casinos brought her great joy, but her greatest pride and joy came from her roles as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Letha is survived by her husband of 64 years, John Allen Wright; their children Elsie Shaw Coleman, Patricia Wright, John F. Wright, Tasha Wright, and Teairy Wright; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Sarah McDaniels and Theresa Shaw, along with a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved daughter Sheila Wright, and her other siblings.
A funeral service to celebrate Letha's life will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a viewing from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
Letha's family and friends will forever cherish her memory and the profound impact she had on their lives. Her legacy of faith, love, and dedication to family will live on for generations.
