Leon Z. "Ruttie" Rutt, age 84, passed away surrounded by family and friends at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy, on Thursday, November 12, 2015. He was the son of the late Horace and Grace Zinn Rutt of Hinkletown, PA and the loving husband of Alberta Martin "Bert" Rutt, who he married 30 years ago on Christmas, 1985. Leon owned and operated Rutt's Furniture in Hinkletown for 26 years. Later on, he owned four mobile home communities in the Ephrata area. He was a 1949 graduate of Ephrata High School. Leon was a member of the Rattlesnake Hunting Club, Clinton County, PA. He was also a member of the Bent Creek Country Club, Lititz, PA. Leon was an avid hunter. He also loved traveling all over the United States, Europe, and Canada. He enjoyed flying airplanes – that was his greatest hobby. He was also a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. Most of all he loved being a grandfather to his grandchildren. He shared many happy moments and fond memories with them. In addition to his wife, Alberta, he is survived by his sons, Charles and Carleton, daughters, Charlene and Cathy, and stepchildren, Theresa J., wife of Fred Musser, Kelly J. Stauffer, Angie M., wife of Paul Beiler, and Michele J., wife of Brian Trdina. His beloved grandchildren include Max, Ali, and Emily Trdina, Marisa and Julia Beiler, John, Becky, Joe and Lucy Rutt, Michael Musser and Amanda Janaszek. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathryn Witters. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Leon's Celebration of Life service from the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will take place at Bergstrasse Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Contributions may sent to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, P.O.
