Leo R. Wastler, 84, of Lititz PA, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 17, 2010 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Graceham, MD., he was the son of the late William W. and Elsie Shriner Wastler. Leo was married to Phyllis Kasperson Wastler for 53 years.

Leo was a Logistic Systems Analyst for the US Civil Service for 36 years and retired in 1981. After retirement, he opened  Wastler Escorted Travel and traveled to many countries.

He served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. He attended Calvary Church in Lancaster.

His memberships included the American Legion in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania German Society, German Society of Maryland, Palatines to America National Society and Pennsylvania Chapter.

Surviving besides his wife there are two children: Holly wife of Ronald Miller, Pottstown, Bradley husband of Linda Wastler, Enola, grandchildren: Joshua and Mary Wakefield, and great granddaughter, Natalie Mae. He was the last of his generation.

Leo was preceded in death by a grandson, Ian J. Miller.

Funeral Services will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 2:00PM with the Rev. Grover DeVault officiating. There will be a viewing at the funeral home from 1-2:00PM on Tuesday. Interment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 10:00AM.
