Lee T. Dougherty, 84, of Lancaster, PA, formerly of Jacksonville Beach, FL, passed away on May 2, 2015 at Masonic Village of Elizabethtown, PA. Born in Elkins, WV, she was the daughter of the late Walter D. & Kathern (Darkey) Tabler. Lee was the loving wife of the late Bernard J. Dougherty, Jr. who died on May 3, 1967. Lee was a nurse for many years. She retired from the Mental Health Resource Center, Jacksonville, FL. Lee was a life member of the VFW Post #3270, a member of the Ribault Order of Eastern Star, and the American Legion Post#129 Ladies Auxiliary, all of Jacksonville, FL. She was a member of Christ Methodist Church, Neptune Beach, FL. Lee will be remembered for her positive attitude and Big Bright Smile. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Masonic Village of Elizabethtown for their wonderful care of Lee. Surviving is a daughter, Kathern Lee Scott of Intercourse, PA; a son, Bernard J. Dougherty, III, husband of Donna, of Rocky Mt, NC; 2 grandsons: Christopher Dougherty, husband of Kayla, and Jon Dougherty; and a brother, James C. Tabler, husband of Patricia, of Garner, NC; many beloved nieces & nephews, and friends too numerous to count. In addition to her husband and parents, Lee was preceded in death by a sister, Kathern T.
