Lea Cole, 62, of 330 E. Oregon Rd. Lititz, passed away on Tuesday at her residence after a 2 year bout with lung cancer.

Lea was the wife of Charles D. Cole, with whom she celebrated 36 year of marriage this past October 2 ^nd . Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Hiland D'Abruzzo.

Lea had worked as an assistant to the Chief of Staff at Coatesville VA Hospital for 7 years. As part of her 15 years of federal service, she had also worked at RAF Lakenheath Hospital in England, as a secretary at RAF Alconbury in England, Yokota AFB in Japan and at Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital in NJ.

The most important part of her life was being a devoted mother, a loving grandmother to 9 beautiful grandchildren, and a supportive and loving Air Force spouse to her husband.

She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.

In addition to her husband, Lea is survived by 3 sons: Edward  married to Lona Cole of Beaver Springs, PA, Ronald married to Heather Cole of Havertown, PA, and Christopher  married to Angela Cole of Harrisburg; 9 grandchildren, and a sister Beverly married to Robert Rollins of Salt Lake City, UT.

Friends will be received on Friday from 7-9PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, and again on Saturday from 1030AM-11AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd., Lancaster, PA. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM. Interment at the convenience of the family in Arlington National Cemetery.
