Lazaro R. Diaz, 65, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016. He was the companion of 39 years to Maria Montanez. Born in Patilla, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Alberto Rodriguez and Dorotea Diaz. Lazaro had worked for 25 years for Pennfield Feeds Corporation until his retirement. He enjoyed playing cards especially solitaire, fishing and was known as a happy person. In addition to his companion, he is survived by his stepchildren: James, Carlito, and Saida and by his siblings: Isabel Santiago, Juan, Juan Alberto, Beatriz, Castor, and Salustiana Rodriguez, Eugenia Rivera, and Juanita Rodriguez. Friends will be received by his family on Friday, Nov. 11, 2016 from 6-8PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA. There will be a second viewing on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016 from 10-11AM at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 S. Duke St., Lancaster, with Mass to follow at 11AM.
