Lawton C. Jenkins, 80, of Elizabethtown, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 26, 2025

Born to the late Clyde and Ethel Jenkins, Lawton was a graduate of Penn Manor High School. In 1964, he married the love of his life, Carol, and together they shared many wonderful years filled with love and adventure.

Lawton dedicated 42 and a half years to PPL as a lineman, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment. He was a proud and active member of Millersville Lodge 476, Lancaster Lodge of Perfection and Harrisburg Consistory for 50 years and a member of the Zembo Shrine for nearly as long.

An avid camper, Lawton and Carol camped throughout their years together with many cherished trips spent at Disney's Fort Wilderness in Florida. In his younger years, he had a passion for motorcycles, and throughout his life, he enjoyed watching NASCAR. Lawton and Carol always had a dog or two by their side, sharing a deep love for their pets. He also enjoyed spending time working on puzzles.

Above all, Lawton loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved making memories with them and took great joy in being a part of their lives. Lawton is survived by his beloved wife, Carol; his children, Keith Jenkins, husband of Kate, and Vicky Brallier, wife of Eric; his grandchildren, Lauren, wife of Colin, and Erin, fiancée of Kurt; and his great-grandchildren, Keiran and Myles. He is also survived by his brother, Clair Jenkins, and sister-in-law, Elaine Lefever.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Stanley Lefever, and his sister-in-law Doris Jenkins.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lawton's memory to Masonic Charities.
