Lawrence "Larry" Snyder, of Lancaster passed away on February 18, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was born on May 7, 1955, to the late Raymond and Ellen Snyder.
Larry dedicated many years of his life to his work at Energy Works as a maintenance operator. Beyond his professional life, Larry found his greatest joy in his family and his beloved wife who he was with for over 50 years, Jeanne Marie Snyder.
A man of many passions, Larry had a deep love for classic cars, spending countless hours tinkering with and admiring their beauty. He was known for his exuberant personality, always bringing laughter and joy wherever he went. With his infectious energy and no-filter humor, Larry made an unforgettable impression on everyone he met.
Larry's grandchildren held a special place in his heart, particularly fond of his famous fries, which became a cherished tradition during family gatherings. He is survived by his loving wife Jeanne Marie, his children James Burkey (Julie) and Michelle Reiff (Steve), and his grandchildren Cara Miller (Jordan), Samantha Imler (Daniel), Brittany Garman, Jordan Garman, Taylor Shank, LeShaune Pearson and Hope Burk. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren Liam, Myles, Landon, Lydia, and Malcolm, as well as his siblings Mary Kready (Bill), George Snyder (the late Bonnie), Richard Snyder (the late Carol), and Sandy Hoover (Tom), along with numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his daughter Christine Garman, siblings Jack Benner, Ed Benner, Patrica Galbaugh and Ellen (Doll) Dukeman, and his granddaughter Hannah Garman.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Larry's life will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, located at 3110 Lititz Pike in Lititz, PA. The viewing will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM.
Larry will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his spirit will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, laughter, and love.
