Obituary

Lawrence G. Klopfle, 50, of Lancaster, PA, and formerly of Philadelphia passed away at his residence on January 9, 2022.

He was the husband of Elysa"Ellie" Eidle Klopfle, with whom he shared 11 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Lawrence G. and Margaret "Marge" Smith Klopfle. Larry was a graduate of North Catholic High School in Philadelphia, and from the Art Institute of Philadelphia, where he received his degree in Culinary Arts. He loved to cook and had previously worked as a chef at the Willow Valley Retirement Communities in Lancaster.

In addition to his wife, Ellie, he is survived by his sister, Heather married to Jeffrey Joniec of Millersville. Larry loved his cats, his "fur babies": Lexie, Max, Angel and Clara. He was a devoted husband and Uncle to 19 nieces and nephews.

Larry was a huge American history buff and enjoyed watching old war movies and John Wayne movies. He enjoyed collecting knives, going to the shooting range, and loved to listen to music, especially old school rock and roll. He was also an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.
