Laura R. Kauffman, 54, of Marietta, passed away at Hershey Medical Center, Tuesday, June 6, 2017, following a lengthy illness. Born in Lancaster to Patsy (Woodson) Reed and the late Walter G. Reed, Laura was the loving wife of Timothy W. Kauffman, with whom she celebrated 25 years of marriage.

Laura was a 1981 Manheim Township High School graduate and went on to eventually earn her Master's Degree as Nurse Practitioner through Widener University. She was employed as a Nurse Practitioner at Hershey Medical Center from 1992 until 2006, when she became ill.

Laura was of the Christian Faith and was a devoted mother and grandmother, she loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed getting away to the beach and mountains and had a wonderful sense of humor. Laura was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi nursing fraternity.

In addition to her husband and mother, Laura is survived by two sons: Jeffrey Reed, husband of Erin, of York and Gregory Kauffman, husband of Leah, of Marietta; three grandsons: Owen, Jaxon, and Colton; and her siblings: Michael Reed, husband of Karlen, of Concord, MA, Vickie Martin, wife of Fred, of Lancaster, and Cathie Russell, companion of Paul Smith, of Mountville.

Memorial Services for Laura will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Laura's name be made to the Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc., 1117 Country Club Rd., Camp Hill, PA 17011.
