Obituary

Laszlo Birinyi, 91, of 1380 Elm Ave. in Lancaster, died Sunday at Lancaster Regional Medical Center.

He was the husband of the late Margit Kontes Birinyi, who died in 2003. Born in Debrecen, Hungary, he had emigrated to the United States after World War II in 1949.

Laszlo had worked at the former Howmet Aluminum Co., now the Alcoa Corp., on Manheim Pike in Lancaster for 25 years.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

He enjoyed many different hobbies, particularly collecting stamps, coins, and models trains.

He is survived by his 2 sons: Frank  married to Catherine Birinyi of Worthington, OH and Laszlo  married to Jill Birinyi of Southport, CT. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren and a stepbrother.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 930-10AM at the Charles Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA, with the funeral service to follow at 10AM. Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery.
