Obituary

Larry C. Leaman, 80, died at Hospice & Community Care Mount Joy on Saturday January 20, 2018 after a brief illness. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Henry and Pearl Kline Leaman. He was the loving husband of Beverly J. Leaman and they celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary last November.

Larry worked for Lance Inc. for over 30 years and was one of the top 10 sales persons in the county three times during his employment with Lance Inc.

He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean conflict and received a Good Conduct Medal.

He was a lifelong and avid golfer. He was a member of the Lancaster County Golf Association and had served on their Board of Directors. His proudest golf moment was when he won the Lancaster County Golf Association Senior Golf Championship in 1990 with a score of 71 at Tanglewood Golf course. He loved animals, gardening, feeding the birds in his yard and his yearly vacation to The Outer Banks.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Dawn Glory (Stough) Leaman, and his brother, Jerry. He is survived by his wife Beverly, daughter, Michele Leaman-Potteiger, Harrisburg, PA, three step-children, Carrie Fulton, Buddy Hostetter, and Trisha Ritter, as well as six grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to Pet Pantry, 26 Millersville Rd, Lancaster, PA 17603 or Lancaster County Junior Golf Tour Scholarship, 1705 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
