Laraine Marie Zimmerman, 65, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2012 surrounded by her family at home. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Victoria (Ade) Smith.
Laraine is survived by her husband, John J. Zimmerman.
She was a Lancaster Catholic High School alumna class of 1964 and a former member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

Laraine was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Lancaster County Mother of Twins Club. She enjoyed traveling, the beach, collecting sea shells, sand from different beaches, reading, dancing, music, shopping for her grandkids, and her beloved cat, Cairo. Many memories were created from summer vacations at the family home in Rumbley, MD on the Chesapeake Bay.
The family would like to thank all of the staff and volunteers who assisted Laraine through her last days.
