Labon Isaac "Ike" Maple, 78, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Born in Portsmouth, OH, he was the son of the late George, Sr. and Alice Maple. Ike was the husband of the late Nancy Maple and the long-time companion and fiancé of Shirley (Haines) Rollins.

Upon graduating from high school, Ike joined the US Navy, serving as an aviation mechanic during the Vietnam era, and retiring after 21 years of faithful service. He then worked as a chef for over 15 years.

Ike was a huge Baltimore Ravens fan and enjoyed going on trips, which would always include a stop back home in Ohio. His greatest love was always his family, especially his great-grandchildren.

In addition to his fiancé, Ike is survived by his children, Leah Maple and Cassandra Beaty; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and his siblings: Joyce Bowen, Don Maple, Ruth Baker, and Morris Maple. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Leah Maple; and siblings: Alice, Martha, Frank, and George Maple.

A viewing for Ike will be held from 10AM to 12PM, Thursday, January 26, at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543.
