Kirk Duane Mickel, 52, of Lancaster died at Hershey Medical Center on Saturday, January 5, 2008 after a long illness.

Born in Altoona, he was the loving son of Ann E. Dambeck Mickel of Lititz and the late Bernard D. Mickel. He was the proud, devoted father of Shannon Mickel Covert, husband of Gary Covert of Breezewood, and beloved brother of Deborah A., wife of Thomas E. Fuss and Craig A. husband of Susan Minney Mickel all of Lancaster.

Surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends

Kirk worked for Image First until his illness. He loved the outdoors, especially camping, hiking and fishing.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, Pa. on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 11:30 AM. Friends may pay their respects to the family from 11:00 to 11:30AM.
