Kimberly Jo Smith, 50 of Lancaster passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Manor Care in Lancaster after a brief illness. Born in Huntington, PA she was the daughter of Diane (McClain) Drake and the late Malcolm F. Drake who passed away in 2004. She was married to John E. Smith for 27 years.

Kim was a 1981 graduate of Lampeter Strasburg High School and went onto work for Lancaster General Hospital as a secretary for 35 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a son, Tyler A. Smith, of Lancaster, a sister, Doreen A. Drake of Mt. Joy and aunt, Charleen Evaul of Beaufort, SC. She was preceded in death by her son, Justin E. Smith who passed away in 2010.

A Memorial Service will be at 11AM on Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602 with Pastor Jay Frey, Jr. officiating. Friends and family will be received from 10-11AM at the funeral home on Friday. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster.
