Obituary

Kieran Joseph McMahon, 50, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Born in Johnson City, NY, he was the son of Dennis R. McMahon and the late Jo Ann (Sheridan) McMahon. Kieran was the husband of Toni N. (Keller) McMahon.

Kieran was a very passionate person and when he loved you, there's nothing he wouldn't do for you. He was highly respected by his friends and family, and professionally. Kieran was a successful medical device salesman for more than 21 years, working most recently for Abbott Medical.

Kieran recently learned to fly fish, and he found great peace being on the water and in nature. He positively loved being on the Chesapeake Bay and would always say that was his "happy" place. Kieran loved to take hunting trips with his son and friends, and his joy on these trips was more about spending time with his son and his friends. He was also an avid Steelers and Notre Dame football fan. Additionally, one of his biggest sources of pride was dedicating many years to coaching for the Cougar Lacrosse team. He was an amazing coach and loved by his team. Additionally, some of his favorite times with his daughter was watching her play sports and escorting her to her Father/ Daughter dances and embarrassing her with the funny "chicken dance".

In addition to his wife, Toni, Kieran is survived by his son, Devin M. McMahon, partner of Maura, of Harrisburg, and daughter, Aarin E. McMahon, partner of Michael, of Lancaster. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and a host of cousins. He will also be greatly missed by his 2 canine companions, Stella and Bubba, and cat, Bert.

Kieran was a very smart, successful person and loved adventure. Unfortunately, he suffered from a traumatic brain injury 6 years ago and was never the same. His pain and depression ran very deep. The family asks that anyone reading this to please reach out to anyone you think is struggling. You could really make a huge difference in someone's life by just checking in with them.

Memorial Services for Kieran will be held at 11AM, Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home from 10AM to 11AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Kieran's memory be made to Out of the Darkness Walks or to the Brain Injury Association of America .
