Kevin Llewellyn Kubicki, 50, of Lancaster, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, died April 5, 2014 at Drexel University's Hahnemann Hospital, Philadelphia. Born December 4, 1963 in Lancaster, but grew up in Wilkes-Barre, son of Jay and Gladys J. (Llewellyn) Kubicki, of Wilkes-Barre. Kevin and his wife Leslie (Pelak) Kubicki were married for 25 years.
Preceded in death by father, Jay Frank Kubicki, and maternal grandmother, Elizabeth O'Shea Llewllyn.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons: Kameron and Kade Kubicki of Lancaster; two brothers: Jay J. Kubicki and his wife Kelly Kubicki of York and Dr. Jody J. Kubicki and his wife Kristin Kubicki of Berwick, PA; a goddaughter, Kaitlyn Kubicki of York; mother-in-law Sophie Pelak of Wilkes-Barre and Stephen Pelak of California; sister-in-law Sandra Kish and her husband Paul of Wilkes-Barre; Aunt Joyce Kubicki of Wilkes-Barre, and a niece and nephew, Danielle and Joseph Ierley of York.
A 1981 Graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School, he received his Bachelor's degree after completing two years at Bloomsburg University then continuing his education two years at King's College graduating in 1985. He was a self-employed financial investor and coached his son's sports as well at Manheim Township High School.
Kevin was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Lancaster. He was a very loving and caring man, who reached his heart out to anyone. Kevin's strong sense of family carried with him wherever he went. He enjoyed nothing more than to watch and cheer his sons on at sporting events, and to involve himself as much as he could with that. Kevin's sweet and devoted qualities were significant to both his immediate and large extended families. He will be greatly missed by all.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd., Lancaster with Msgr. Richard A. Youtz as Celebrant. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 PM Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Charles F. Snyder, Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz and again one hour prior to the mass at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
