Kevin T. Haines, 16, died Saturday, May 12, 2007.  Born in Lancaster, Kevin was the son of Thomas A. and Lisa Brown Haines, and brother of Maggie Haines.

Kevin, a sophomore at Manheim Township High School, was a very bright student who participated on the school Quiz Bowl Competition team, and was a writer for the school newspaper, the Hi-Lite. Kevin participated in scouting since Tiger Cubs, and, as a member of Boy Scout Troop 99, was working towards becoming an Eagle Scout.  He loved reading and studying American and World history, and researching his family genealogy and their German heritage, and was looking forward to a trip to Germany this summer.  Kevin was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church.

Surviving besides his sister are paternal grandparents, Charles and Helen Haines, and maternal grandparents, Elmer Brown and Jane Tyndall.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service being held on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 10:30 AM at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 20 E. Clay St., Lancaster, PA.
