Kenneth H. Mattern, 90, of Woodcrest Villa, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Charles and Tillie Krenz Mattern and the husband of the late Joanne Kline Mattern.

He was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church. Ken served in the US Air Force from 1946 to 1947. He graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School in 1945 and Pennsylvania State University in 1950, where he was a member of the Chi Phi Fraternity. He loved the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Ken was employed by the Mennen Company as a sales representative for 33 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Lamberton Lodge # 476 F.&A.M. In retirement he was a part-time employee of the Pennsylvania Dutch Convention and Visitors Bureau. Also, he volunteered with Meals on Wheels.

Surviving Ken are his two daughters, Lisa A., wife of the late John Woods, Jr. of Bensalem, PA and Debra M., wife of Dale Duespohl of Hurricane, WV; and four grandchildren, Matthew and Lauren Duespohl and Joshua and Christine Woods.

A viewing will take place 10-11 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11 AM with The Rev. Dr. Ann Osborne officiating, on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Interment in Conestoga Memorial Park. Kindly omit flowers.
