Obituary

Kenneth Anthony Zechman, 78, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at his Millersville home with his family by his side. Ken shared 43 years of marriage with his wife Mary Lee (Patterson) Zechman.

Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Irvin and Helen (Godlevski) Zechman. Ken graduated from Lebanon High School and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War with the 916th Supply & Service Company 115th Battalion USARSEVEN, obtaining the rank of Specialist 4th Class.

An accomplished carpenter, Ken owned Walnut Hill Construction specializing in refurbishing old buildings. Pheasant Run Farm Bed and Breakfast is one of his crowning projects. Ken was a perfectionist working with wood, he loved to teach his craft, and he built a wood power boat for grandson Spencer.

Ken was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, hiking, kayaking and spelunking. He was an assistant scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 88 and was a member of Order of Arrow. He was a member of the Millersville Fire Company and Clymer Township Fire Company in Tioga County.

Everyone else came first before Ken because he cared so much for people. Most importantly, Ken enjoyed spending time with his family.

Ken was a member of Millersville Community Church, and he worshipped at Grace Community Church of Willow Street.

Surviving Ken are his wife, Mary Lee; his daughter Pamela L. Guhl, fiancée of Jody Walton of Holtwood and her children, Megan, and Spencer Guhl; his son, Theodore P. Herr, husband of Connie of Kunkletown; and his sister Pat Bord of Lebanon.

Kyle Fisher officiating, on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Grace Community Church, 212 Peach Bottom Road, Willow Street, PA 17584.
