IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kelly Marie
(Jones) Hain
July 31, 2023
Kelly Marie (Jones) Hain, 57 of East Petersburg, Pennsylvania, went home to be with her Lord and Savior suddenly on July 31st, 2023. Born March 21st, 1966 in Lancaster General Hospital, she was the daughter of Keith and Marie Jones. She was the loving wife of Philip Hain for 32 years, and the loving mother to Nicholas Hain (married to Christle Hain), 29 of East Petersburg, Gage Hain, 27, and Adrian Hain, 24, both of whom resided with Kelly and Philip. She was a member of Faith Bible Fellowship Church and she gave her life to Jesus at an early age. Kelly graduated from Hempfield High School and Cosmetology Vo-Tech in 1984, and from Pinebrook Bible College in 1986, where she met her loving husband. She is survived by her parents, Keith and Marie Jones, sister Kim (Gary) Spangenburg of East Petersburg, and brother Kevin (Jody Giles) Jones of Holtwood, four nephews, one niece, four great nieces, and four great nephews.
In her earlier years, Kelly played softball for East Petersburg Recreational. While at Pinebrook Bible College, Kelly played volleyball. In her twenties, Kelly worked for Fulton Bank, Butcher and Singer, and Hamilton Watch. On November 3rd 1990, Kelly married Philip Hain, the love of her life. On January 24th 1994, Nicholas was born. Then on April 10th 1996, Gage was born. Lastly, on March 12th 1999, Adrian was born. Kelly was a stay-at-home mom who took such great care of her three children. She would always put them and her husband first, and would do anything for them. She was the most gentle and kind-hearted soul to anyone and everyone. Kelly was especially gifted with talking to and loving those with differing abilities. She always had a unique way of relating to anyone, regardless of where they came from.
Family meant the world to Kelly. Anytime she could, Kelly would plan family trips to amusement parks including Dutch Wonderland in her kids' earlier years, Knoebels, Dorney Park, Hershey Park, and, her absolute favorite, Dollywood. Her favorite vacations with her family included Ocean City, NJ for a weekend or day trip getaway, Disney & Universal Studios, Florida, and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where she would stay at Dollywood's DreamMore Resort. Kelly always had a passion for music. She loved to attend concerts with her family, which sometimes included meet-and-greets with some of her favorite music artists. She loved going with family to see her youngest son, Adrian, play drums at local gigs with his band.
When her great nephews and nieces were born, Kelly quickly took on the role of being a babysitter for them, and had a close relationship with each of them from birth. She would give them the personal care that they needed from the time that they were babies, through their toddler years, and into their pre-school/kindergarten/elementary school years. Kelly loved those kids like they were her own, and loved caring for them.
At home, Kelly could be found surrounded by her family in the living room talking, laughing, and/or discussing vacation plans with them. She loved horror movies (often recommended by her brother, Kevin), reality TV shows, Marvel movies, and almost anything and everything in between. It was evident that throughout her life, family was the most important thing to Kelly.
Kelly was the most loving and supportive wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She always put others before herself and loved her family so fiercely. Her legacy will forever live on in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life for Kelly will be on Saturday, August 5th, 2023 at Faith Bible Fellowship Church 151 Donerville Rd. Lancaster, PA 17603, starting at 11AM. Visitation will be from 9AM-11AM. A meal will be provided, starting between 12PM and 12:30PM, and will take place in the Stables Youth Center, which is right across the lot from Faith Bible Fellowship Church. For those attending, we are requesting everyone to wear either their favorite concert, amusement park, or vibrantly-colored t-shirt. As Kelly once said, she does not want "a sea of black" to be at her Celebration of Life.
