Kay Van Gelder, 77, a resident of Lititz, PA since 2003, passed away on June 25, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Newton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Roberta (Green) Van Newall. Kay was married to the late Arthur Van Gelder. She was a 1956 graduate of Hackettstown High School, NJ. She then received a Diploma of Nursing from Mountainside Hospital, Montclair, NJ and worked as a Registered Nurse. On retiring, Kay did a lot of volunteer work, most recently at Moravian Manor where she resided. She enjoyed playing the piano, Tai Chi and yoga, and was an avid reader. Kay was a wonderful artist, especially with watercolors. She also loved to travel. Surviving are her two daughters: Laurie and Linda Van Gelder. Services will be private.
