Katrina L. Short, 17, of Lancaster, died Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital after a lengthy battle with cystic fibrosis. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Stephen W. and Buffie (Evans) Short of Lancaster. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lancaster. Katrina was a member of the MTX Special Needs Cheerleading Squad, and was involved in the Make-A-Wish convoy. She loved all things Disney, especially the princesses. Katrina is survived by 5 brothers: Christopher, Patrick, Jacob, Devon, and Timothy Short; 3 sisters: Timantha, Sayvah, and Isabelle Short; maternal grandfather, Chauncey Evans of DE; paternal grandparents, Jack and Patricia Short of Lancaster; a sister-in-law, Casey Risser, a niece, Paisley Short; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Pamela Miller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Saturday, August 8, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph St., Lancaster with the Rev. Stephen Kelley as Celebrant. Family and friends will be received at the church 2 hours prior to the service, from 9 to 11. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
