Kathryn Louise "Kathy" McDonald, 57, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on January 23, 2025. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Elizabeth "Betsy" (Roseman) Renn and the late Thomas W. Renn. She was the loving wife of James E. McDonald, III, prior to his passing in 2024.

Kathy was a graduate of Manheim Township and obtained a bachelor's degree from Millersville University. She worked as a special education teacher for Susquehanna Township and was passionate about her job. Kathy volunteered with the Special Olympics and enjoyed kayaking and camping.

In addition to her mother, Kathy is survived by 2 children: Ian A. McDonald (Jackie) and Meredith L. McDonald; 2 siblings: Barbara Longenecker (Philip) and Thomas Renn (Shannon); and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
