Kathleen W. Bealer, 75, of the Brethren Village in Lititz, lost her long, courageous battle with Alzheimer's on Sunday morning, November 27, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 16, 1941 in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd & Mildred Wily of Myerstown, PA. Whether you knew her as Kathy or Katie, she dedicated her life to caring for others. She graduated as a R.N. from the Reading Hospital School of Nursing and proceeded to spend more than 30 years practicing nursing from Pediatric to Geriatric. Kathy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her many hobbies that included quilting, basket weaving, boating, gardening, retail therapy, cooking, baking, especially her specialty "Nana cookies". She loved to take long walks looking for seashells on Wrightsville & Masonboro beaches in NC. She was like a 2nd mother to many of her children's friends as well as a mentor and provider to many others. She was very generous with her love and will be very missed. Heaven has gained a true angel. Kathy is survived by Kenneth Bealer, her loving husband of 54 years; son , Douglas Bealer and wife Tanya of Jacobus PA, daughter Nicole McMillion and husband Troy of Charlotte NC; 5 grandchildren, Zach, Emily, Kyle, Ryan, Kassie and numerous extended family relations. Also surviving is a sister, Joyce Hutchison wife of George of Newmanstown, PA and a brother, Jack Wily husband of Russeline of Reading, PA. Funeral Services will be held at 10AM on Friday, December 2, 2016 in the chapel of Brethren Village, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17606. Interment will be private in East Coventry Mennonite Cemetery, Pottstown, PA. Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the service at the chapel on Friday.
