Katherine M. Kitch, 93, died Monday afternoon at Hamilton Arms in Lancaster.

Born in San Antonio, TX,  she was the daughter of the late Wilbert L., M.D. and Lola D. Mellado Voshelle.  She was formerly married to the late James H. Goetz.

Katherine had worked in the Physical Medicine Dept. at Lancaster General Hospital, retiring in 1979 after 28 years of service.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She loved going to the beach, enjoyed reading, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She is survived by 2 daughters, both of Lancaster: Joyce M.  married to Charles F. Herr  and Judith K. Goetz; 4 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, the late James H. Goetz.

Friends will be received on Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph St., Lancaster, PA from 9-10AM, with Mass to follow at 10AM. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Katherine's memory to Hamilton Arms Recreation Fund, 336 West End Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603.
