Katherine E. Jakobsen, 77, of Lititz, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2008 at her residence.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Katherine was the daughter of the late Karl J. and Elsie (Thorsen) Rosvold.  She was married to the late Bjorn E. Jakobsen, who died in 2001.

Katherine was employed as an Administrative Assistant in the Chemical Engineering Dept. at Polytechnic University of New York for 20 years.  She was a member of the Sons of Norway, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Norwegian Singing Society of Brooklyn, NY.  Katherine enjoyed spending time with her family, and her travels to Europe, as well as solving the New York Times crossword puzzles, knitting, and crocheting.

Katherine is survived by her sons, John E. Jakobsen, husband of Patricia A. of Lancaster, Bill K. Jakobsen, fiancé of Lucinda S. Durant, of Lititz, granddaughter, Danielle K. Malley, wife of Jason, of Boca Raton, FL, and brother, Arthur T. Rosvold, husband of Carol, of San Rafael, CA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services on Monday, November 3, 2008 at 10 AM at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA.
