Karen J. (Porter) Marrie, 75, of Lancaster, died Thursday, April 24, 2015 at Conestoga View. Born in Westfield, NY, she was the wife of the late Theodore J. Marrie, who died in August, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Marshall and Hannah (Kingston) Porter. One would rarely see Karen without a smile on her face; she was always active and on-the-go. She volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and loved to travel with her husband. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and adored her family. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Karen is survived by a son, Bill Humbel of Lancaster; 2 daughters: Theresa and Loretta Humbel, both of Mountville; 2 grandchildren: Darla Mae Hawkins of Pequea and Marshall Hawkins of Lancaster; a sister, Judy tenant of West Virginia; and 2 brothers: John Porter of Kodak, TN and David Porter of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Bill, James, and Bob Porter; and a sister, Florence Johnson. Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
