Karen Lee (Halden) Farney, 71, of Lititz, died Thursday, April 9, 2015 in her residence after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Glenn R Halden, Sr. and Myrtle A. (Linhart) Halden. Karen was an avid reader and in her spare time enjoyed crocheting, baking, and collecting nativity sets. She adored her grandchildren Ashley and Joshua. Karen attended LCBC, Manheim campus. In addition to her grandchildren, Karen is survived by a daughter, Linda A. Gress and her husband Corey of Lititz; a son, Jay R. Farney and his wife Mischelle of Sandpoint, ID; a brother, Glenn Halden and his wife Joanne of Millersville; a sister, Kathleen Kraff of Camas, WA; and a sister-in-law, Roberta Halden of Seneca Falls, NY. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Halden, and 3 sisters: Peg Rowe, Marilyn Halden, and Patricia Murray. Memorial services will be held at 6 PM on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Charles F. Snyder, Jr Funeral Home &Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz with Chaplain Nilda Roman officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
