June Harvest, 85, of Lancaster, PA, passed October 22, 2018 peacefully with her daughter by her side following complications of emergency surgery in September. Throughout her month-long struggle, she remained determined and strong. Born in Pottsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Jeanette Elliott. June was married to Peter Harvest for 62 years until his death on May 21, 2016. June grew up in Frackville, PA, graduated from Frackville High School and attended Ursinus College. She enjoyed many special moments throughout her life, but what meant most to June were the small things. She had a passion to read drama and adventure novels, and the Sunday NY Times crossword puzzle was completed by her every week. She loved watching movies, NASCAR, the Washington Redskins and had a life long love of all animals. She was the best "Gammy" to her late Grand-dogs, Abby Lynn and Kaitlyn. June leaves behind her daughter, Lori J. Harvest of Lancaster, PA; brothers-in-law, Emil (Alice) Harvest, Boynton Beach, FL, James Goes, Kitty Hawk, NC, husband of the late Jeanette Elliott Goes, along with nieces, nephews and caring friends. June was content, happy and thankful for each day and person who cared throughout her life. The lesson June taught many people was, love is patient, love is kind as she was. She lived and died with grace and dignity. A viewing will take place from 3-5 PM on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Viewing will continue from 1-2 PM with a Funeral Service to begin at 2 PM on Monday, October 29, 2018 at the funeral home. June will be laid to rest beside her husband at Conestoga Memorial Park following the services.
