IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Julie Ann
Meckley
October 7, 2025
Julie Ann Meckley, 47, of Lititz, PA, passed away on October 7, 2025 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Mark Sanderson and the late Pamela (JoGriffith) Sanderson. Julie was the loving wife of Keith Meckley and proud mother of Harper Meckley.
Julie was a Teacher and Resource Specialist for 25 years in the Warwick School District at Lititz Elementary. She loved reading, going to the beach, attending concerts with her friends and spending time with her family. The biggest joy in her life was her son, Harper, she beamed with pride talking about his activities and accomplishments.
She especially enjoyed Family game nights, which were always just a little competitive. Julie had a huge compassion for helping others, which lead her to opening up her big heart and took on the challenge of fostering 5 children, who quickly became part of her extended family. She had a mega smile that would light up the room.
In addition to her husband and father, Julie is survived by her son, Harper Meckley; stepmother, Debra Sanderson; sister, Holly Kellum; niece, Avery Kellum; nephews: Gage, Cohen, Kooper and Kruz; and 6 foster children: Nearest, Xsavior, India, Leksi, Soni and Yaya and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received from 2-4 PM with a Celebration of Julie's Life to begin at 4 PM on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. In honor of Julie, please wear something blue. Blue was her favorite color. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation at https://wish.org ; Ovarian Cancer Research at https://ovarian.org/get-involved/ways-to-give/ and the Lancaster/Lebanon Chapter of CASA at https://www.casalancleb.org/ . The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy for the wonderful care, peace and compassion they gave Julie in her final days.
