Julianne W. Christ, 87, of Columbia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at St. Anne's Retirement Community. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late George W. Wagner, Sr. and the late Marie A. (Gegg) Wagner. Julianne was the beloved wife of the late Walter I. Henry who passed in 1974, and was also predeceased by her second husband, the late Chester R. Christ . She was beloved mother of the late Douglas A. Henry. Julianne worked for the Commonwealth of PA as a statistician for seventeen years, retiring in 1991. She was an active member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, and volunteered her time at the former St. Joseph Hospital in Lancaster, and also at St. Anne's Retirement Community. Julianne was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling and making new friends. She especially cherished time spent with her family. Julianne is survived by her daughters Mary E. Riley of MD, Anne L. Kaufhold and her husband Steven of Wrightsville, Sharon M. Cypress of Lancaster, and Maria H. Randle and her husband Brian of MD. Also surviving is her sister, Agnes Silverthorn and her husband John of Lancaster, and her brother H. James Wagner of Columbia; daughter in law, Nancy Henry; 8 grandchildren- Melissa, Ethan, Lori, Megan, Jared, Chelsea, Emily and Jack as well as 9 great-grandchildren- Cameron, Loghan, Alana, Skylar, Averie, Connor, Aidan, Riley and Emma along with her beloved dog, Molly. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by sisters Catherine Miller and Hilda Mohler, and brothers George F. Wagner, Jr. and Robert F. Wagner. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Thursday, December 27th at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic church, 501 East Orange Street, Lancaster, PA, 17602, where a viewing will take place from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation be made to Catholic Relief Services, an organization to which Julianne has continuously donated.
