Julia A. "Julie" Barley, 79, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, January 30, 2018, at Pinnacle UPMC Hospital, Lancaster, following a lengthy illness. Born in Soudersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Isabell (Walter) Sweigart. Julie was the loving and faithful wife of Wayne "Pete" Barley. Julie was a past member of the St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing golf, was a skillful knitter, and relaxed by working crossword puzzles. In addition to her husband, Julie is survived by her three sons: Allen, husband of Dorinda, Jay, and Bruce Barley; three grandchildren: Neil, Brian, and David Barley; two great grandchildren: Maressa and Nash Barley; and her siblings: Ronald Sweigart, husband of Florence, Kenny Sweigart, and Carole Houck, wife of Norm. Memorial Services for Julie will be private and at the convenience of the family.
