Judith I. (Benedict) Rockey, 75, of Lancaster passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Hospice & Community Care in Mt. Joy. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Harold P. and Grace (Peters) Benedict. She was the loving wife of Charles Rockey who passed away in 1988. She was a beautician at the former Watt & Shand downtown and at JC Penny's before opening her own shop, JR's Hair, Nails & Body Works. Judith was a lifetime member of the Millersville VFW, Post 7294. She is survived by a son, William C. Rockey husband of Karen J. of Millersville; three grandchildren, Joshua, Ashley and Brandon. Also surviving is a brother, Ronald P. Benedict husband of Joyce of Brownstown; two sisters, Sharon L. Klos wife of Ronald, Phyllis B. Diller wife of Donald, both of Lancaster and a host of loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
