Obituary

On December 11, 1941, Emily Jane & Richard Zercher of Lititz, PA welcomed a light into this world that would touch the lives of so many people in the most loving and positive way imaginable. That light is Judith Ann Hollinger (Judy). On December 23, 2023 that light, whom we loved so dearly, unfortunately had to leave our world and is now keeping watch over us in a different way. Those who are lucky enough to have known her have lost a friend like no other. She will be missed by so many.

In Judy's 82 years here with us she did a host of absolutely amazing things. She was a mom and homemaker, showed horses, went back to school and completed an accounting degree, and worked at an auction house for many years. After raising her children in California, Judy returned home to Lititz, PA where she continued her life journey. In her latest life achievement, she went to massage therapy school at 60 years young and practiced as a massage therapist for over 10 years. Judy loved dancing, knitting, 4th of July, "wine & cheese, please", gathering around a kitchen table laughing and telling stories, and Coronado Island. But, most of all, she loved and adored her family. She was a solid, incredibly strong, brave, grounded, wise, and realistic person and therefore a welcoming refuge for us all in times of need. Anyone who knew Judy has a story of how she impacted their lives in a positive way. She cried when we cried, she laughed when we laughed; but she always put us all, especially in times of need, above herself.

Judy is survived by her loving husband David G. Hollinger and her children Penny Zercher, Tony Mauro and wife Angel, Josie Mauro, Nick Mauro and wife Ali, Mike Mauro and husband Guy, and two step sons Curtis and Mike Hollinger. Judy is survived by her two brothers Bud and Dick Zercher. Judy was lovingly known as Grams, Grammy, and GG to a total of 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Emily (Toot) Weaver, John Zercher, and Mike Zercher.

A little piece of us all left with her, but even more of her stayed with us; and we will be stronger, kinder, more resilient, and better people because of her. We don't think about how to move on without her, but how to embrace the piece of her that's with us as we navigate our own journeys, and we hope they will be as adventurous and colorful as hers.

In keeping with mom's wishes, we will be foregoing traditional services and a private "It's been a fun life" celebration will be held. We love you, Mom; it was so fun!
