Juana Sanchez, 78, of Lancaster passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Utuado, PR, Juana was the daughter of the late Juan Sanchez and Ramona Medina. She was the wife of the late Jose A. Rodriguez who passed away in 2006. Juana was a homemaker and raised her family. She was a member of San Juan Bautista Catholic Church and the Lancaster Spanish Center. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, and enjoyed her coffee and sweets. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. The family would like to thank the Hospice & Community Care staff for their care and compassion extended to Juana during her illness. She is survived by her children, Blanca Rodriguez, Maribel Rodriguez, Migdalia Rodriguez, Luis Rodriguez, Griselle Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, Geraldo Rodriguez, Javier Rodriguez, Milagros Rodriguez; 24 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial from San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 S. Duke St, Lancaster, on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 10AM. Viewings will be held on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 7-9PM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St, Lancaster, PA and again at the church on Friday from 9-10AM. Interment in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
