Juan Antonio Mercado Santiago, 74, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at Conestoga View Nursing & Rehabilitation. Born in Isabela, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Antonio Mercado Velez and Ana Santiago Nives. Juan is survived by his daughter, Mildred Mercado, of Newark, NJ, and his grandchildren, Jayleen, Mathew and Alberto. Prior to retiring, and while living in Puerto Rico, Juan worked in the construction industry. He also worked in landscaping. In addition to his daughter and grandchildren, Juan is survived by four sisters, Noelia Mercado, Gloria Mercado, and Norma Cruz, and three brothers, Miguel A. Mercado, Nelson Mercado and Hector Mercado. He was predeceased by a sister, Mercedes Mercado. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing funeral which will take place from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 East King Street, Lancaster, PA 17543. Juan's final resting place will take place in Isabela, Puerto Rico.
