Joyce Cecere, 68, of Lancaster, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, February 20th, 2008.

Born in Newark, NJ to the late Pearl M. (Ehehalt) and Edward J. Bucher Jr., Joyce grew up Belleville, and later, Fair Lawn, NJ.  She graduated from Fair Lawn High School in 1957. In 1958, she graduated from the Katherine Gibbs School in Montclair, NJ.

Joyce was employed by ARCO Chemical Company for 19 years. Her residences included North Brunswick, NJ, Marlton, NJ, and Lancaster, PA.  She enjoyed making dollhouses for her granddaughters, photography, gardening, home decorating and visits to Long Beach Island.

Surviving are her children, Michael Cecere of Flemington, NJ, Stephen Cecere of Toms River, NJ, John Cecere and his wife Karen of Howell, NJ, and Jill Gaissert and her husband Gary, of Lancaster, PA. Also surviving her are her brother, Edward J. Bucher III and his wife Joan of Trinity, FL.

Joyce also had four grandchildren: Jessica and Jaclyn Poucel, Alyssa and Julia Cecere, and two step-grandchildren, Tara and Casey Gaissert. She adored her grandchildren and they loved her very much. They will miss their Grammy dearly.

A memorial service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Chapel at 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA on Saturday, March 1st, 2008 at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joyce's memory to either the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Drive, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA, 17604-4125.
