Joyce A. Frey, 83, of Lancaster, passed away on May 23, 2024. She was born at the Reading Hospital in West Reading, Berks County, PA. She was the daughter of the late Howard D. and Grace B. (Kunkelman) Graul.

Joyce was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church, later attending church services at Woodcrest Villa. She attended Elementary School at Glenside and Junior High at Northwest and graduated from Reading High School in 1958. She then graduated from The Reading Hospital School of Nursing in 1961. On November 9, 1963, she married H. Wayne Frey, her husband of 52 years. He passed away March 10, 2016. She worked as a Registered Nurse for five years and then enjoyed being a "stay at home mom" after the birth of their son David in 1966.

Joyce is survived by her son David W. Frey of Akron, sisters-in-law May E. Frey and Arlene F. Fawber, both of Lancaster, and Jean M. Krumrine (Harold) of Hanover, nine nieces, and six nephews.

Joyce moved to Woodcrest Villa in 2016.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 3 PM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Guests will be received at 2 PM.
