Jovencia Evangelista Tomas, 88, of Lancaster, and formerly of California and the Philippines, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025, at her home with her family by her side. Born in Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Bruna Aguinaldo Evangelista. She was a woman of strong catholic faith and immigrated to the United States to raise her daughters in America and give them a good education and life. Jovencia was a great cook, enjoyed gardening, and taking care of her daughter, Lilibeth's two dogs, with whom she resided with for the past 30 years.

Surviving are two daughters, Lolita Evangelista Chiu, Lilibeth E. wife of Randy Blair, and a brother, Dionisio husband of Justina Evangelista. She was preceded in death by her siblings.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jovencia's funeral service at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz PA 17543, on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 3:00 PM. There will be a viewing and time of service from 2:00 PM until the time of service. Interment will be in Landis Valley Mennonite Cemetery.
