Joseph F. Ulrich, Jr., 86, of Wayne, PA passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr. He was the husband of Anne (McDonagh) Ulrich with whom he was married for 23 years and the late Julianne O. Ulrich who passed away in 1973. Born in Camden, NJ he was the son of the late Joseph F. Sr. and Margaret (O'Donnell) Ulrich. Joe was self-employed in construction and also enjoyed fishing, politics, brick laying and was an avid outdoorsman. He was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lancaster and was a member of the Lancaster Liederkranz, Philadelphia Engineers Club, life member of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, and the Wayne, PA American Legion. Joe proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps. In addition to his wife Anne, he is survived by his sons Carl A. Ulrich (Deborah) of Strasburg, PA, Michael J. Ulrich (Vicki) of Lancaster, PA, Mark T. Ulrich of Wayne, PA, Kurt W. Ulrich (Sheila) of Malvern, PA and Brian T. Ulrich and companion Amanda of Bucks Co., PA; three step-children Maureen Myles (Aiden) of Chester Springs, PA, Martin and Michael McDonagh both of Wayne, PA; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; one sister Dolores McNee of Lancaster, PA. Joe was preceded in death by his son Joseph F. Ulrich, grandson Thomas Ulrich and a sister Margaret Weber. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 11AM from St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph St. Lancaster, PA 17603 with Fr. Allan F. Wolfe as Celebrant. Interment will be held in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the Funeral Mass from 10-11AM at the Church.
