Obituary

Joseph J. "Jay" Cooper, 27, of Lancaster unexpectedly went home to the loving arms of Jesus on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Bristol, PA and was the son of Sandra Cooper. Joseph is survived by his wife Deborah Lynn (Landis) Cooper and their soon to be born daughter, Mackenzie. In addition to his wife and daughter, he is survived by two sisters and one brother; Monique Shields, Charlene Cooper, John Cooper, married to Christine, father and mother-in-law Donald and Sharon Landis, and seven nieces and two nephews.

Jay was employed by AECOM in Philadelphia for five years as a C.A.D. Draftsman. Jay was passionate about his love for his God and family. His love and excitement about his wife, Deborah, and their coming daughter, Mackenzie, was known by many. Jay put 100% into everything he did. Some of his favorite hobbies were paint ball, working out at the gym, and remodeling their house. Jay always had the constant ability to make people laugh.

A Celebration of Jay's life will be held at Noon on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, with The Rev. Leo M. Neff officiating. The Visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 6-8 pm. Interment will be private. Please omit flowers.
