Joseph David Haldeman, 68, of Columbia, passed away at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy on Monday, December 13, 2021. Joe shared 47 years of marriage with his wife Margaret "Peg" A. (Giandalia) Haldeman.

He was witty and had a great sense of humor. Joe enjoyed attending his kids and grandchildren's sporting events to cheer them on. Joe was an avid Notre Dame fan.
In addition to his loving wife Peg, Joe is survived by their sons, David M. Haldeman, husband of Heather (Ronan) of Mountville, and Bryan J. Haldeman, husband of Diane (Dean) of Fleetwood; their daughter, Melissa Haldeman Smith of Columbia; their six grandchildren, Alexis, Brooke, Chloe, Noah, Allison, and Kinsley; and his four siblings, Michael Haldeman, husband of Diane, Charles Haldeman, spouse of Wei-Chiang Lin, Carol, wife of Deacon Murry, and Joan Guidi.
Preceding Joe in death were his parents, and his four brothers: Robert, William, James, and Kenneth Haldeman.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11 AM Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 409 Cherry Street, Columbia, PA 17512. Joe's family will greet friends from 10 to 11 AM at the church. Final Commendation and Farewell in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.
