Obituary

Joseph R. Ginther, 77, of Lancaster, PA, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 26, 2012.

He was the husband of Elaine E. Ritchey Ginther, with whom he celebrated 47 years of happy marriage this past February 20th. Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late Joseph R., Sr., and Dorothy M. Maginley Ginther.

After graduating from Brown University in 1957, Joe served as a PFC in the U.S. Marine Corps. Following his military service, Joe settled in Lancaster and worked in production management for Wyeth Laboratories for 37 years.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and woodworking.

In addition to his wife, Elaine, he is survived by his daughters: Karen G. married to Ronald E. Harbut, MD of Hot Springs, AR, and Catherine L. Ginther of Washington, DC; and his grandchildren, Megan and Nathan.

His family would like to thank the staff of Conestoga View for the compassionate care they provided to Joe.

Friends will be received at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory at 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, on Monday, December 31, 2012, from 10-11AM, with the memorial service to follow at 11AM.
