Joseph N. Altman, Esq., 33, of Baltimore and formerly of Lancaster passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 31, 2011. He was born in Lancaster and was the son of Dr. Richard S. Altman and the late Deborah A. (Pelet) Altman (1995).

Joe was a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School in 1996, The College of William & Mary in 2001, and the Wake Forest University School of Law in 2004.

Joe was a formerly nationally ranked Jr. Tennis player.

Surviving in addition to his father; two sisters, Amanda Rockwood, wife of Brian of Coventry, CT, Caroline "Carrie" Altman, of Lancaster, a brother, Jeffrey Altman, of Texas, two half sisters, Madeline and Olivia Altman, of Severna Park, MD, two step-brothers, James Dempsey, Karl Dempsey, a step-sister, Sadie Dempsey all of Severna Park, MD, and a step-mother, Rebecca Altman, of Severna Park, MD.

A Private Mass of Christian Burial will take place from St. John Neumann and Interment will be in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
