Jose C.T. Cartagena, 84, of Lancaster, went to be with his lord and savior, Sunday, November 23, 2008 at Hamilton Arms Nursing Home. Known to his friends as Zeppy and Corso. Jose was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Jose Delores and Ramona (Cartagena) Torres.

Jose was employed by Host Farms for 23 years. He loved his family and enjoyed gardening, reading, and playing his guitar.

Jose is survived by 5 daughters; Ellie Ortega wife of Jim of NJ, Elizabeth Colon wife of Rick Rivera of Lancaster, Evelyn Torres of Lancaster, Michelle Dejesus wife of Roman of Lancaster, and Iris Torres of NY. 9 grandchildren. And 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son Eliud Torres.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 28, 2008 at 12 p.m. at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home 414 E. King St. Lancaster 17602. Family and Friends will be received at the funeral home before the service from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
