Jose C. Rodriguez Morales, 73, of Lancaster, was surrounded by his children when he went home to be with the Lord on October 11, 2020. Born in Orocovis, PR, he was the son of the late Cecelio Rodriguez and Berena Morales.

He was a long time farmer and business owner, operating a store in Puerto Rico where he sold produce and products of his family's farm. He moved to Lancaster to be closer to family. Jose loved softball and enjoyed watching and playing the sport. His passion for the sport encouraged him to operate and run a Puerto Rican softball league.

He was the patriarch of his family and was a role model for his children. They will always see him as their hero. Jose shared with them all of his best qualities, including his optimistic nature and happy outlook on life, his devotion to his family, and his faith.

Jose was a devout Catholic and was a member of Iglesia Catolica San Juan Bautista.

Jose is survived by Felicita Rodriguez his loving children; Migna Rodriguez, Jose A. Rodriguez, Amarilis Barreto, Alex J. Rodriguez, Yahaira Rodriguez, and Juan Cruz Burgos, 14 caring grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his dear siblings; Blanca E. Rodriguez, Jose A. Rodriguez,Jose C. Rodriguez, Jose W. Rodriguez, Ivie Rodriguez, and Zulma Rodriguez.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings; Maria L. Rodriguez, Aida J. Rodriguez, Jose L. Rodriguez, and Jose R. Rodriguez.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 7:00pm-9:00pm at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602.

A viewing will be held prior to the funeral on Friday October 16, 2020 from 12:30 to 1:30pm at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, King St. The viewing will be live streamed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 16, 2020 at 2:00pm at Iglesia Catolica San Juan Bautista 425 S. Duke St., Lancaster, PA 17602. Interment will follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery

The family would like to extend gratitude to the Conestoga view sixth floor staff. They provided great help and support in his final years.
