Obituary

Jose Luis Mangual, Sr., 75, of East Lampeter Twp., passed away at Lancaster General Hospital on Sunday, September 6, 2020. He was born in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico to the late Alejandro Figueroa Mangual, Sr. and Alejandrina Figueroa.

Jose enjoyed 51 years with his loving wife Noemi Sanchez Mangual. They have three children: Jose L. Mangual, Jr., husband of Hilda (Gonzalez), Alexandra S. Mangual, wife of Nestor Matos, and Wil Mangual; six grandchildren: Genisse M. Mangual, Jose R. Mangual, Luis D. Fernandez, Aiden Jael Mangual, Adrianna Mangual, and Julissa Maria Mangual; and one great-grandson, Thomas Alexander Fernandez.

Also surviving Jose are his five siblings: Wigberto Mangual, Luz Ortiz, Ada Mangual, Cecilio Mangual, and Luis Alberto Mangual. In addition to his parents, Jose was preceded in death by his four siblings: Carmen Santiago, Leida Mangual, his twin-brother Julio Mangual, and Alejandro Mangual, Jr.

Jose worked as a machine operator for NTN-BCA Corp. in Lititz. He was a member of Agape Family Christian Center on Wabank Road in Lancaster, where he also served as a security guard. Jose loved to study the Bible.

He was a constant source of joy and positivity. A humble man, Jose had a lot of love to give. His dad jokes kept the family laughing. He loved to sing and write music. Jose filled the house with music and life.

Jose cheered for the Eagles, Phillies and 76ers. He enjoyed playing Dominoes with family and friends, gardening, walks in the park, watching action and old western movies, and he has a seriously cool hat collection.

Most precious to Jose were his family and the joy of spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandson.

A viewing will take place Wednesday, September 16, 2020 from 9 to 10 AM, followed by the funeral service at 10 AM, under the Tent on the South Lawn of the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. The Rev. Dr. Luis A. Figueroa and Pastor Anayancy Figueroa will officiate.
